Connecting the Connected · a vetted network of working creatives

Admitted,
not signed up.

CTC is a private network where creatives are found by what they can actually do — not by follower count. Structured identities, verified at the door, kept honest by the room.

The contour field behind this text is not a texture. It is the composed identity data of six members, drawn as signed-distance contours. Your cursor — or your finger — is a lens. It hasn't been admitted either.

The premise

A capability graph with a members' club at the door.

Every creative network promises discovery and delivers a feed. CTC starts from the other end: a structured record of what each member can do — disciplines, roles, specialisms, skills, tools, city — reviewed before it enters the graph.

Admission changes everything downstream. Search you can trust, credits that mean something, and a room where showing unfinished work is safe, because everyone in it has already shown theirs.

It is closer to a private members' club than a job board, and closer to a map than a feed. You are not a profile here. You are a field.

Identity on CTC is written in a governed vocabulary — 162 terms across six axes, curated, versioned, and stable. Nothing on this page is drawn from anything else.

The identity mark

Anatomy of a mark.

No member designs their mark. It is derived — four geometric families, one per kind of practice, composed as signed-distance fields and drawn as contour lines. The same data always develops the same mark. Change the data, and the mark must change.

Lens

Radial. Lens-based & curatorial practice — photography, film & video, curation.

Wave

Periodic. Time-based practice — music & audio, animation & motion, performance, illustration.

Rule

Axial. Compositional practice — design, writing & publishing, spatial design.

Facet

Polygonal. Material & constructed practice — visual art, craft, fashion & textiles, digital & interactive.

Hover or focus any datum on the card — it will show you exactly what it draws.

Develop a provisional mark.

Choose what's true about you and watch the field compose — live, from the same engine that draws every member. Provisional marks render in safelight red, dotted: latent, unfixed, not yet admitted.

The network

The whole room, at once.

One hundred and forty members, arranged by practice — fourteen discipline sectors, multidisciplinarians drift toward the centre. Select a capability to see exactly who answers to it. This is what discovery is here: a question put to the graph, not a scroll through a feed.

Select a capability above, or move through the room.

A map of the network: 140 member marks arranged in a circle of fourteen discipline sectors. Filtering by a capability such as colour grading or creative coding highlights the members who hold it and draws the connections between them.

The vocabulary

What the door protects.

Identity here isn't freeform tags. It is a governed vocabulary — curated, reviewed, and stable — so that when you search for a capability, the answer means something. Six axes, each a question a working creative can actually answer:

14Disciplineswhat world is your practice in?
21Creative roleswhat do you call yourself?
36Specialismswhat are you known for?
30Skillswhat can you do, hands on?
32Serviceswhat can you be hired for?
29Software toolswhat do you work in?

On top of the graph: groups formed around real work, posts that carry credits, events worth leaving the studio for — and vetting at every door. The vocabulary is the floor the whole room stands on.

Admission

Development.

LATENT — 0%

This is your provisional mark — or the guest mark, if you didn't develop one above. Right now it is a latent image: red, dotted, unfixed.

Hold the button and watch it develop.

Development stops at ninety percent. The last ten is not yours to do — a member vouches for you, and admission fixes the image.
